Ai Challenge - Cute as a button

I'm on a card making kick, and I really wanted to play along with the challenge they have going on over at the Art Impressions blog, I needed an excuse to colour up the adorable "Whoots" image... love that owl.

The challenge was to use buttons as embellishments, and for me that really was a challenge! Part of that challenge was to actually find a button. Not my usual choice of embellishment, but I found one that matched and away I went.

Here is the card I came up with:

Ingredients:
Stamp: Art Impressions, Whoots
Sentiment Stamp: Inkadinkado, All Occasions
Inks: Momento Tuxedo Black & VersaFine Onyx Black
DP: Bo Bunny, Suprise
CS: Neenah, Solar white
Bakers Twine: Doodle Bug
Medium: Copic Markers
Extras: Glossy Accents,Wink of Stella, Sakura White Jelly Roll Pen & a random red button
Adhesives: Recollections foam tape & Tombow tape runner

Simon Says... We Love Stamps

Since I needed to make a v-day card, I headed over to the Monday Challenge at the Simon Says Stamp blog. A nice and easy challenge this week, to use a favourite stamp to make a project.
I had the joy of inking up a stamp that I received recently for the first time, which is always awesome.

Simon Says... Get Krafty

Super quick mini 3x3 gift topper card for the Wednesday challenge over at Simon's blog.
The challenge was to use kraft paper, and it was a challenge for me... it was the first time I've ever tried to colour with copics on a darker card stock, interesting results.
Also, since I wanted a particular sentiment & my card stock is too thick to go through my printer, I tried hand writing it... yeeesh, not going to do that again!

This weeks colour combo (#cc453) always baked cherries, was a lot of fun, though I didnt have any artichoke colour ribbon, so I went with a deeper green shade.

ATS Challenge - Valentine Treats

Back again for another wednesday challenge entry for All That Scraps. This week the challenge was to create a Valentines treat, so I decided to go with a gift tag (a rather large gift tag compared to the teensy gift I attached it to, lol!)
Also, I recorded the process, though I am still trying to get the hang of the lighting and trying to stop the camera from shaking. You can find the video on this post, just below the picture of the tag, if anyone is interested.

ATS Challenge... Anything Goes

I had some spare time today to throw together a last minute entry to the Anything Goes Challenge over at the All That Scraps Wedsday challenge blog.

Since I printed the digital image rather large, the card itself had to be kept quite simple.

I tried doing a yellow halo effect around the image, were the light from the sparklers would hit, but I don't really like the way that it turned out... ah well.

Simon Says... Black & White with a Splash of Colour

Another card made for the weekly challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Blog. This week the challenge was to make a mostly black and white card, with just a little splash of colour, so I grabbed this adorable Paper Smooches image and made this card.

I happen to buy a box of odd sized envelopes by mistake the other day, so the card that I made for this challenge is 3 3/8 x 6 1/4 to fit the envelope.

And, just for fun, I recorded myself making the card. Scroll down for the video.

There was one more image that I really wanted to use on a christmas card, so I figured before I pack away my christmas papers I would have one last go round with a christmas themed card for this challenge. (Sorry about the bad picture, the light wasnt good, you can barely see the gold embossed sentiment)

Happy Chistmas Eve, it came so quickly this year.
I had to make 2 more last minute chrstmas cards for a few people that decided to come into town this year. So of course I had to enter it in to the ATS Anything Goes Challenge.
This card is really quite glitzy in real life, with the glitter glue on the wings, the glitter pen used on the horn & halo, and the gold ink around the dark brown mat... doesnt really come across in the picture though.

Digi Image: Sweet November
Stamp: Amy R
Ink: VersaFine, Colour Box
DP: Echo Park, 7 Gypsies
CS: Bazzill, CC Designs
